Privacy

The short version

This is a private room for a handful of mates. We don't sell anything, we don't run ads, and nothing you write here is shared with anyone outside the group. Your diary is yours alone — nobody else can read it, including whoever runs the site.

What we store

• —Your email address and password — held by our sign-in provider, never in plain text.
• —Your first name, and the optional "what I'm working on" label if you filled it in.
• —The date you started, so the app can count your days.
• —Your daily 1% check-ins, mood ratings and any "seen you" nods.
• —Group chat messages, shared calendar events, goals and goal entries, ideas and votes.
• —Struggle flags and the acknowledgements people send back.
• —Your private diary entries, including any mood or triggers you add.

Who can see what

• —The other members of the group can see your check-ins, reactions, chat messages, calendar events, goals, ideas and struggle flags. That's the point of the room.
• —Your diary entries are readable and writable only by you. That's enforced by the database itself with row-level security, not by us promising to be good. There is no admin override and no way to switch it on.
• —Nobody outside the group can see anything behind the sign-in. The public pages are the only pages a stranger can reach.

What we don't do

• —No advertising, and no advertising or tracking cookies.
• —No selling, renting or sharing of your information with third parties.
• —No analytics on the words you write.
• —No profiling and no automated decisions about you.

Who processes it for us

The site runs on a managed hosting and database platform, which stores the data and handles sign-in on our behalf. They process it only to keep the app running and are not allowed to use it for anything else.

How long we keep it

For as long as you're in the group. Ask and we'll delete your account and everything attached to it, diary included. Deletion is permanent — we don't keep a copy.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Just ask — there's no form and no waiting list.
