Accessibility

Big type, calm colours, and everything reachable however you get around a screen.

What we've tried to get right

  • Big, readable type and generous tap targets — this gets used one-handed, on old phones, sometimes at 3am.
  • A calm dark theme with contrast checked against WCAG 2.1 AA for body text.
  • Everything reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus ring.
  • Proper headings, labels and alt text so screen readers make sense of the pages.
  • Motion kept quick and gentle, and switched off entirely if your device asks for reduced motion.
  • No colour-only meaning, and no flashing anything.

Where it falls short

This was built by one person for four mates, so it hasn't been through a formal audit. Some charts and the calendar grid are visual by nature, though the same information is always available as text nearby.

If something's unusable

Say so and it gets fixed — that's what the Ideas page is for, or just tell Matthew. Ask Matthew in the group chat, or reply to the invite you were sent.
